Client
success in using our service is extremely important to us.
We take pride in every success, and agonize over every failure.
It’s our goal to have every client be happy with our service,
and remain a long- term client. Client renewals are crucial
for us to provide our service for the extremely low cost that
we charge. Our clients make renewal decisions based many factors
including both the cost and the effectiveness of our service.
We
don’t claim to be a perfect service. However, we work extremely
hard every day to continually improve our service, and give
our clients tremendous value for their money.
However,
no matter how hard we work or how well we try to do our job,
it’s up to each client to fully utilize the potential of our
service. When clients are open to national recruitment, offer
a competitive position and package (salary, benefits, interview
and relocation expenses), do a good job of selling their opportunity,
post their job on Absolutely Health Care, and follow our advice
when contacting candidates, they often have great success
and are very happy. When they don’t, we’ll hear that the service
doesn’t work. It really does, but it only works as well and
as hard as a client works it.
A FEW SIMPLE TIPS TO IMPROVE YOUR USAGE OF OUR SERVICE!
- Learn
everything you can to get the best possible results in using
our service, including asking for help if you’re not getting
the results that you desire. Many of our clients are used
to candidates contacting them. Contacting a candidate requires
a different set of skills, and these skills must be learned.
Despite making regular client follow up calls, we often
don’t personally talk with many of our clients throughout
the year. Just like candidates, many clients don’t return
phone calls. We hear about problems at renewal time. By
then it’s too late to do anything about it. Please call

as soon as you realize you are having a problem. We’re here
to do everything possible to help you!
- Call
every candidate that seems like a potential match. Call
at the suggested times, and call until you reach the candidate
or decide to give up. Realize that for the most part, candidates
don’t return calls, so don’t depend on that. Realize that
direct mail works very poorly, unless you call the candidate
in advance to generate interest and follow up afterwards.
- Have
a recruiting mentality. Be prepared to do a great job of
selling the potential candidate on your facility, position,
potential, and location. Pretend you’re going fishing. You
need to use bait that’s going to attract the fish to your
hook, and get them to bite.
- Use
a common sense approach to recruiting. We had a client that
lost out on hiring one of our candidates because they wouldn’t
pay relocation expenses ($2,000 - $3,000). They then turned
around and paid a recruiter fee of $15,000 to fill their
position. The recruiter then paid the relocation. The facility
ended up spending an extra $12,000 - $13,000. Incredible!
We had another client that used a traveler for 26 weeks
while they tried to find a local candidate, instead of contacting
our out of town candidates. Why? To save interview and relocation
expenses. This cost them many times more money than relocation
expenses would have cost. Incredible again! Recruiters and
travel companies provide very valuable services, but they
were certainly not the most cost-effective solutions in
these 2 particular situations. These are the same types
of clients who feel that our service is not worth the money
when it’s time to renew.
- Find
the time to post every job you’re eligible to on Absolutely
Health Care. It’s easy and it’s free advertising. Other
job posting sites charge over $300 per job posting each
month. We give them to you for free. We’re getting over
3.5 million hits per week on our site, and your job postings
also appear on some of the most visited sites on the Internet.
We hear about positions being filled from our site every
single week. Once your company profile is filled out (you
do this once), it only takes about 5 minutes to post a job.
I know of 1 client who posted 255 jobs in 1 afternoon. It
drives us crazy when a client tells us that they haven’t
had success using the service, and yet they didn’t take
the time to post their jobs. Candidates contact you directly,
and we have more than 100 times as many visitors on Absolutely

- Receive
your candidates by e-mail. Our service is much more ideally
suited for e-mail than fax. With e-mail, you can view candidates
on-line, print out the ones you’re interested in, and trash
the others electronically. This is a tremendous paper saver.
You also get a much higher quality document, as you’ll be
printing out an original, rather than a faxed copy. If you
would like to receive candidates by e-mail instead of fax,

at (800) 940-7791. Profiles sent by e-mail come as a single
attachment with page breaks. Some of our clients do not
realize that they can view and print out only those candidates
that they are interested in. To do so, press down on the
Ctrl key on your keyboard. While holding it down, press
the P key. This will cause a "Print" window to
appear. It then gives you the choice to print "all"
(the entire attachment), the current page only, or specific
pages. This way, you can either print out all the profiles,
or just the ones that you’re specifically interested in.
