Health Care has built an Application Programming Interface
(API), through which our clients can add, edit, or delete
jobs on their end, and have that information transmit and
appear in real time to Absolutely Health Care. An example
of this is if a company wants to set it up where jobs added,
modified, or deleted to their corporate web site, will then
be transmitted and will appear in real time (instantaneously)
on Absolutely Health Care. To do this, you need to send XML
formatted text to our API, which will post back a detailed
message to your program to indicate success or failure of
your last programming action. We are offering this option

Automatic
Extraction & Maintenance Of Job Postings Directly From

Health Care (AHC) has entered into a Letter of Intent with Red
Star Internet, Inc. (RSI) to provide an optional service that
will allow your jobs to be automatically extracted (often called
scraped) and maintained right from your Corporate Web Site,
and placed on Absolutely Health Care without you having to do
any manual inputting, deleting, etc… on the AHC site.
If you have your jobs posted to your Web Site, and you don’t
want to post your jobs manually or use our free job upload feature,
this would be the ultimate solution.
- RSI will:
a. Extract your job listings from your Web Site.
b. Validate job listing information against the job
posting requirements from AHC
c. Export only jobs passing AHC posting requirements
into the AHC job database.
d. Notify you via email of job exporting results,

Jobs Manually
- If
you are going to post your jobs manually, the first thing
you should do when you get to the site is click on the button
that says “Posting Instructions”. The instructions were
written to try to anticipate all possible questions, so
they are very detailed. In reality, the site is extremely
simple to use. If you have any questions, compliments, suggestions,
or problems with the site, please call Kathy Strauss at

- Please
make sure that per the instructions, you fill out your company
profile before posting jobs. This will save you a tremendous
amount of inputting time. There is also a very important
tip in #
10 of the instructions (about copying jobs) that can
also be a tremendous inputting time saver .

The
3 Client Mistakes We See Most Often On Absolutely Health Care!
1.
A client will start posting jobs without first completing
the Company Profile There are many fields that tend to
remain the same from job to job (for most of our clients),
including facility description, city description, benefits,
and relocation policy. By filling out the Company Profile
before posting jobs, these fields will be filled out automatically,
saving you a tremendous amount of inputting time. The information
that is automatically filled out can be edited from job to
job (if needed).
2.
A client does not post a job to the correct location.
Locations automatically default to the city, state, and zip
code that you’ve set up in your Company Profile. If you have
a job located elsewhere, you need to change the city, state,
and zip code, or people are not going to find your job in
the right place. For example, we have a client based in
Boynton Beach, FL 33137 that has a job in Cherry Hill, NJ
08034. Therefore, if this client does not change the location,
it will show up in the system as a job in FL, not in NJ.
3.
Many clients do a poor job of selling their facility,
their position, and their location. Your job posting is
an online advertisement. Reading your advertisement is your
initial contact with a candidate. The better the job you
do of selling your facility, your position, and your location,
the better the odds are of generating a candidate’s interest.
As the majority of this information is contained in the Company
Profile, it only needs to be filled out once, and it’s then
copied to all of your jobs, keeping inputting time to a minimum.

Posting Tip!
1. After
you post a new job, look at the 2 displays that a candidate
sees. This will help you find any errors you’ve made.
a.
Check the small box that shows the job category, job title,
location of the job, and the type of employment being offered.
This box will display when you display your jobs. You can
just display the new jobs you've posted today (this takes
less time to display), by clicking where it says "Click
Here to view new jobs posted today". This option is available
on the screen that appears right after you submit a new job.
You can view all of our jobs by clicking on the “Display All
Jobs” button.
b.
On this box, click on display, and you’ll see the detailed
posting that a candidate sees. Check this as well.
c.
If you click on the Browse Jobs button and the Employer Links
button on the site, and do some searching, you’ll see how
a candidate uses the site, and what they see. That will be
very helpful to you in entering information properly on the
site.

Important
Tips To Increase Your Response From Absolutely Health Care!
1.
1. Make posting jobs on Absolutely Health Care a consistent
habit. Our clients that have the most success with our
site are the ones that post every job that they are eligible
for. The more jobs you post, the better the odds of filling
some of those jobs through our site. We've seen clients run
print ads for openings that they paid for, and yet they didn't
post the job on Absolutely Health Care for free. We would
think that this wouldn't be the case. You never know who will
be visiting our site, and the other 4,800+ partner sites that
we cross post your jobs to. "Levinson's Law" says "candidates
will visit that will be a perfect match for the job you didn't
post". Don't take a chance. Post every job you're eligible
for today.
2.
Be patient, and don't give up. We've seen clients post
some initial jobs, and then give up if they didn't get response,
or get their jobs filled from the site. Please realize that
the Internet is a work in progress. Traffic on the Internet
doubles every 100 days. This means that 100 days from now,
usage of the Internet will be double what it is today. This
makes Internet recruitment increasingly more effective with
every passing day. If a print ad doesn't work, you'll usually
try it again, and pay for it. If an Internet ad on our site
doesn't work, also try it again. The difference is that you
won't pay for it.
3.
Make your job postings partner eligible. By doing so,
your job postings will not only appear on Absolutely Health
Care, but also the 4,800+ partner sites that we cross post
to. To make your postings partner eligible, make sure your
postings include a position title, position description, location
(city/state/zip), contact name, contact phone #, and email
address. If you are a recruiter, and do not want to give the
exact location of your job for confidentiality reasons, use
a location close by. Not making your job postings partner
eligible will significantly decrease your response.
4.
Keep in mind how people look for jobs on our partner sites,
versus on Absolutely Health Care. Every job on Absolutely
Health Care is posted to a category. Therefore, it makes finding
the job a virtual no-brainer for a candidate. On our partner
sites, jobs are usually found either by a job title search.
Therefore, if you enter the title as RN, someone will find
it if they search for the title RN. They will not find it
if they search for the title Registered Nurse. Therefore,
when entering a job title, you might want to use multiple
combinations in the title to increase your odds of a candidate
finding it like: Registered Nurse/RN; Licensed Practical Nurse/LPN;
Nurse Anesthetist/CRNA; etc….
5.
Realize that your job posting is an on-line advertisement
to sell your position, facility, and location. Do you
put your best foot forward, and do a quality job of selling
what you have to offer? Do you offer something of quality?
We see some postings on our site where people really took
the time to tell a candidate why their situation was special,
and made it very sound very attractive to a candidate. We
also see many postings on our site that are not competitive,
or were quickly slapped together, and don't appear attractive
at all. No matter how much traffic we put your jobs in front
of, candidates are not going to respond to jobs that are not
competitive, and don't appear attractive. Because of our company
profile, much of this information just needs to be posted
once on our site, and it automatically copies into all of
your jobs. Therefore, take the time to do a great job of selling
your facility, city, benefits, and relocation package 1 time,
and you'll benefit from this effort in every job that you
post.
6.
Make sure that your jobs don't expire prematurely.
We will send an expiration notice to the email address contained
in any job posting that will expire within 7 days. If there
is no email address contained in an expiring job posting,
then the notice is sent to the email address contained in
the primary company profile. Make sure you have an email address
set up in your job postings and/or primary company profile,
so you receive these messages. If not, make sure you display
your jobs (after logging in) to check for those that will
soon be expiring.

To Sell Your Company Online

Job
applicants aren't the only people who need pointers on how
to sell themselves. Employers, too, can use a few tips on
how to put the best corporate foot forward in their online
profiles and job postings. Here are a few suggestions:
Write with flair. An applicant's resume gets
an average of 30 seconds of attention from an employer, says
John Amodeo, employee recruiter for Dayton Hudson Information
Services. When a candidate is viewing job listings online,
the roles reverse, and that posting becomes "the epitome
of that 30 seconds" for the employer, he says. Therefore,
you must make your job description and your company profile
as interesting as possible.
Be creative with the job descriptions. Amodeo labeled one
open position a "Visual Basic /Cobal Private Eye"
and appealed to the "Thomas Magnum in you." The
position required the employee to write software to protect
the company against fraud. Amodeo's creativity paid off: The
posting received four times as many inquiries as any of his
others.
Make
the link. If you have a corporate Web site, always
include a link from your job posting or corporate profile
to your Web site if you are advertising someplace else on
the Internet. In addition, provide a way for applicants to
E-mail you whenever possible. Laura Needs, employment and
training coordinator for Tyndale House Publishers, says providing
an E-mail link to your human-resources department from the
job posting on your Web site is imperative.
Keep in mind, however, that you may receive E-mail attachments
that aren't compatible with your software. If your software
limits what kind of documents you can open, then specify which
word processing program the applicant should use to write
his or her resume.
More is better. Applicants are sometimes advised
to keep their resumes to a page or two, but you don't have
to limit the information you put on the Web about your available
positions or your company. You want to be sure to answer the
job-seeker's questions, such as "Why should I work there?"
and other questions she or he has about the position and the
company.
Be specific. Don't shy away from answering specific
questions about the pay, benefits, and requirements of the
position. If you offer a set salary or hourly wage, state
it. If the position has a salary range or is negotiable, then
state that. Also mention the hours—especially if the job is
not a traditional nine-to-five position—and whether it's a
full-time or part-time position.
Does the candidate need to have a level of education or work
experience? Does he or she need to be proficient in a certain
type of software? If so, include those requirements as well.
Are you recruiting freelancers? Inform them of the type of
computer hardware or software, for example, your contract
jobs require and whether they need to live within your area.
The more specific you are, the more you will reduce or eliminate
phone calls, faxes, and E-mail messages from applicants who
don't fit the bill—a real time-saver for you and them.

Job
Posting Expiration Warning System!
We
have created a job posting warning system, so that you'll
know which of your postings are in danger of being deactivated
from the site:
-
Each posting summary is color-coded (on the left side),
and tells how many days before it expires.
a. Green
– has more than 2 weeks before the posting expires.
b. Yellow
– has 1 - 2 weeks before the posting expires.
c. Red
– has less than 1 week before the posting expires.
-
To
extend the expiration date, click "modify", change the
expiration date, and then click "submit query" (at the
bottom of the page). If you would like to simply extend
your job posting expiration date by 30, 60, 90, 180, or
165 days, click on the "extend" button. You may extend
each job posting individually, or all of them at once.

If
your job posting includes an e-mail address, you will
receive an e-mail expiration warning message 7 days before
any posting is due to expire. If you do not have an email
address in the job posting, but your primary company profile
has an email address, then the warning will be sent to
that address.
-
If you don't extend your expiration date, your job posting
will automatically be deactivated on the expiration date.

Job Expiration CC Email Address (Multiple Job Expiration
Notices): Seven days before a job posting expires, we
send an expiration warning notice to the email address
that appears in the job posting. Some clients would like
a carbon copy of that notice to be sent to a second person.
If you would like a second person to receive a carbon
copy for all job postings affiliated with this User Name
and Password, enter that person's email address. If you
would just like the expiration notice to go to just go
to the carbon copy email address, and not to the email
address in the job posting, check where it says: "Check
this box if you'd like expiration notices to just be sent
to this email address, and not the email address contained
in the expiring jobs".

Resume
Database & Search Agent Are Now Available
You
may start using the searchable resume database. Here are some
important details:

To search for resumes, login, and click on the “Search Resumes”
button. You will be able to search for resumes interested
in the same states and categories that you are eligible
to post jobs in. You will be able to use keywords to refine
your search.

There is a Resume Search Agent (RSA) that will allow resumes
to be sent to you automatically by email, based on the criteria
you set up. You can set this up when you search for resumes.
-
There is a Resume Search Agent Control Center available
for your use. Though each Resume Search Agent can be deleted
individually (see the bottom of the Resume Search Agent
for the deletion link), we have set up a Resume Search Agent
Control Center, so you can see what Resume Search Agents
your account has set up, and what email address each Resume
Search Agent is set to be sent to. You can change email
addresses, and delete Resume Search Agents right from this
screen. To see the RSA Control Center , login, and click
“Search Resumes”. You'll see the control center and instructions.
Some clients complain that they receive multiple Resume
Search Agents for the same candidates. This is because they
have multiple Resume Search Agents set up for the same criteria.
This will allow you to see this for yourself, and easily

Re-Send Resume Search Agent (RSA) From Yesterday:
Sometimes people have a problem with their email, and do
not receive their RSA (Resume Search Agent).
Therefore, we have now given you a way to re-send your RSA.
When you go into the resume
search section of our site, and display your Resume Search
Agents, there is a button next to
each one that says "Re-Send RSA From Yesterday".
Click the button, and your Resume Search Agent
from yesterday will immediately be sent to you.

keep easily accessible. Each individual within your company
can create their own file cabinet (within this file room),
as well as folders within their file cabinet, to keep their
resumes well organized. Each company can have an unlimited
number of file cabinets and file folders. Unlimited notes
can also be added to each resume that's in a file cabinet/folder.
You'll now find your file room when you go to the resume database
section of our site. You may also add resumes to your file
cabinets that are received in resume search agents. If you

those people an email. In the past, you had to open each
resume, and send an email one at a time. Now we give you
the ability to send the email to all of these people in
your file folder at once. Once you do open the file folder,
click the bar at the top that says: Send An Email Blast
To All Candidates On This Page. Once you send a email
blast from a folder, it will date it, note it with the
Cabinet/Folder it was sent from, and save a template of
the message you sent. You can reuse the template when
sending out another email blast. You will be able to use
the template from any folder. You can edit the text in
a template when sending out a new blast.

Pre-Screening Before Doing An Email Blast:
Remember,
you can do a much better job of filtering who you send
an email to about a specific position if you create a
folder, do a resume search, put the resumes you want to
send to into the folder, and then do an email blast from
that folder.

Study
Says Applicants Visit Internet Job Boards, Then Corporate
Web Sites!
According
to a survey done by CareerXroads and CareerJournal.com:
92 percent of respondents say they
are likely or very likely to visit a company's Web Site before
applying to the job.
94 percent of respondents say they
search the company's other online job listings posted in the
company's own job database.
64 percent of respondents will apply
for jobs without returning to the commercial job database.
"The Survey shows that if companies stop posting jobs
on job boards, the candidate traffic to their company Web
Site will fall dramatically, as well as rise dramatically
as they post to more job boards", said Tony Lee, Editor

Deactivate/Reactivate
Job Feature Is Now Active!
In
the past, a job posting either appeared on our site or it
was deleted. Now instead of it being deleted, it is deactivated,
and stored for your future use. This way, if you have this
opening again, you’ll just need to reactivate it, rather than
post it from scratch. This will be a big time saver for many
of you.
Here
are the details:
- When
you either manually deactivate a job or it expires, it is
stored for your future use.
To
deactivate a job, display all jobs, and click the “Deactivate”
button, just like you used to click the “Delete” button.
- To
view your deactivated jobs, click the white “Display All
Deactivated Jobs” button.
To
reactivate a job, display all deactivated jobs, and click
the “Activate” button.
- If
you need to then modify the job (once reactivated), do so
just like you would modify any of your other jobs on the
site.
To
permanently delete a job, display all deactivated jobs,
and click the “Delete” button.
